Today I saw some threads about the Triple Play sale, so I punched in my dates at the Carnival site, just to see. I already had the $150 in OBC, but the sale rate was $40 lower than mine. I called my PVP, "just to see" what, if anything, they could do. She put me on hold, came back & said that since I didn't have an ES fare, couldn't do anything, but could upgrade my OV cabin to the main deck (was on Riviera). At first I turned it down, but after talking it out w/ her, decided to go for it. She sent me the changes in a confirmation e-mail. When I opened it, the new cabin was listed as Interior, w/ a totally different number than the one we'd agreed on! Ack! :eek: Called her right back...of course she apologized, then put me on hold to correct the issue. She came back, kind of chuckling, and said, "well, that worked out for you!" Because when she switched it back to the (new) OV cabin, I now had the $40 discount that I'd initially called about. Soooo...long story short, I'm glad that all worked out!! :p And thanks again to these message boards, or I wouldn't have a) known about the sale or b) thought to call.
