Corntea Posted February 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2012 I have read the reviews on Carnival sight, and this sounds like a lot of fun. We have two daughters aged 5 and 8. First, I would love to hear your experiences, but I am also curious about the food they serve. My husband and 5 year old are VERY PICKY eaters! Ugh! Does anyone remember what they served or waht the options were? I would happily pack them a picnic from the buffet, but I have read that you are not allowed to take food off the ship in Puerto Vallarta. (Is that true?) Any advice or comments would be helpful. Thanks!

Thanks! Here is the web site for the excursion operator - http://www.pirateshipvallarta.com/pirate-ship-day-show.html Use the contact tab to ask them what the breakfast and lunch selections might be. An yes, you are correct .... You are not allowed to take food off the ship in Vallarta or any other Mexican port. The exception being processed, pre-packaged food/drinks such as breakfast/snack bars. Fruit & sandwiches from the buffet is a big NO! Enjoy!
mytime53 Posted February 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2012 There is Soriano's Supermarket just south of the pier, and Walmart in sight across the road from the pier. Either one will supply you with anything you could need for lunch.

MSN-Travelers Posted February 22, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2012 You can't pack a lunch from the buffet to take off the ship. NO! Is considered the same as bringing a fruit basket into California.
