hollster8 Posted February 13, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2012 We'll be sailing this November on Carnival Legend. I've been looking at a post of the Fun Times and noticed Karaoke time slots. Last cruise DH and I really loved going to karaoke, having a drink, and listening to the singers (and loving that the later it got, the funnier it got :p). I noticed that they have several karaoke time slots. Would it be totally inappropriate to take DD (who will be 18 months at sailing) to karaoke if it were an earlier time? We are not the kind of couple to let our kid just sit and cry if we want to see something, so we'd leave if she started making a fuss. I just didn't know what was acceptable/proper etiquette on ships. We've never sailed with a baby before! If we sit in the back and leave if she acts up, is okay to still go to karaoke and shows? We plan to take advantage of group babysitting, but don't want to take her there *every* night. So I was curious what activities you all have taken your LOs to on the ships? cb at sea Posted February 13, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2012 I've seen lots of children in the Karaoke....not a problem! Children can go almost anyplace, except the casino, and the nightclub during late night times.
lds26 Posted February 14, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2012 On the ships I have been on I havent noticed Kareoke to be very crowded so having a lil one along should not be a problem.
huneymoonerz Posted February 14, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2012 DH and I took turns singing Karaoke and watching our 3 and 1 year old. DD/DS kept running up on stage. It was funny.
parrotthead Posted February 14, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Little one is "allowed" anywhere with you except where its listed "Over 18 (or 21)"... Ie: Adult pool, Casino Bar, Adult Comedy Show, disco... but... Piano bar, karoke, family comedy, production shows, etc...all ok. Have fun!

lrowe70 Posted February 15, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Karaoke is so loud anyway, no one would notice a screaming baby...
bplazo Posted February 15, 2012 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2012 DH and I took turns singing Karaoke and watching our 3 and 1 year old. DD/DS kept running up on stage. It was funny. I am not sure if anyone else found that funny. If a child is well behaved and not running around, getting on stage etc. no one will mind.
