Bringing drinks (non-alcoholic) on embarkation day

I'm a little confused...... Do they limit you to 12 per person, no matter the size? So if I bring on those tiny pineapple cans, I can only bring 12? Or, is it more by the ounce? Do I put them in my carry-on bag, or checked bag? Or can I bring more than that by splitting it up - 12 in my carry-on, 12 in my checked bag? Are we allowed more than one carry-on bag (ie. a bag and a cooler) per person?

Thanks!

You are limited to 12 bottles no larger than 20oz and they go in your carry on. You can have as many carry on bags as you can handle, but the limit is still 12 bottles per person.
