Gbeman Posted March 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Does anyone know how many Captain Circle members are Gold, Platinum and Elite? I remember one cruise quite a while back where DW and I were 2 of only 12 Elite on the entire ship. Never seen anything like that since. It was an Alaskan cruise and I suppose most of us do Alaska well before our 16th cruise. Since that time we have been mostly on long and/or exotic bookings. The ones that tend to bring out the serial cruisers. Gary P Yikes... Just looked at my list and ticker in the signature. Guess I need to update that! Looks like we quit cruising in 2008! Princess can only answer the "how many" question. You did answer your other question that the longer cruise tend to have more seasoned (Elite)cruisers. I'm Elite now but received that status doing mostly 7 days or less.
zacc Posted March 1, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2012 It is also a group of numbers that changes at the conclusion of each Princess cruise so that means almost daily with several changes occuring on select days with multiple cruises like a Saturday. One thing for certain is that Princess enjoys one of the highest percentages of repeat passengers in the industry. On our most recent cruise (Feb 12) they had to hold three past passenger parties. When they read the total number(gold, plat, elite) it was almost 70% of the total passengers. While I don't remember exactly it was approx 1300 gold, 600 plat, and 200 elite. Rare Kinkacruiser Posted March 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2012 I'm also curious about this. I will ask the Captain Circle Host on our next cruise . It's a long Sydney-Hawaii -Sydney cruise (35 days), so I'm guessing there will be at least 200 elites?
Renmar Posted March 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Maybe a new level should be introduced. What comes after Elite??? Theo
Gbeman Posted March 1, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Anyone been on a sailing recently with a low number of elite? I have to admit it was kind of neat. The hostess we had know on 2 previous sailings and she was going crazy doing us favors. Of the 12 elite on that ship, 4 were promotional elite for one sailing because of some TA contest. 4 were quite elderly and wanted nothing to do with parties or luncheons. It was a blast! Gbeman Posted March 1, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Great question Theo..... Diamond Elite maybe? I would vote for the level to be attained after.. hmmmm lets say, 25 sailings or 293 days. I wonder why I pick those numbers??
