Freedom of the Seas - is pool water on board sea water?

Recommended Posts

The pools are fresh water on the Freedom.

Nuh uh... really? Of all the reading I have done in researching this ship, I've never read this (nor that they were salt water, I just assumed...). If this is true -- Great!! :)

Yes that's a good point, they are unheated. If I was to surf in water this temp, I would wear a wet suit.

What temp is that? We cruise, including Freedom, in May, and find the water temp leaving from Florida into the Caribbean sufficiently warm. This time of year you may be right.

We just sailed late January/early February on the Eastern itinerary and it was too cold for either of us to swim. Never seemed to warm up much even when the weather was warm. The hot tubs were perfect though :)
