My DH pre-ordered a bottle of champaign on the CB, but all that I got was a "gift certificate" and I had to call room service to order the actual bottle.

You can also go to the lobby bar and buy the bottle for the same price as room service.

I pre-ordered for our cruise on the Golden and one of the two bottles was there when we got to the room and the other came a few hours later for some reason. We were among the first 30 people who boarded so I don't know if this made a difference. My girlfriend pre-ordered for the cruise on the CP and both her bottles were waiting for her in her cabin when they boarded.

Just would like to update from my Golden Princess sailing. The pre-ordered liquor was NOT in my cabin on arrival. I eventually had to ask my room steward to get it. He did and by sail away (11 hours after we boarded) it arrived.
