St. Maarten...

My favorite port. I could come here anytime.

Last year we went to Orient Beach and then Maho, But missed all the planes landing. So this year we got a cab and went straight to the Sunset Bar.

We got a table underneath a tent-like structure and got a menu. The girls brought out the scrabble game and I hit the beach...

In port I took a zoom of the Miracle's Bell.

Thanks for the great review. We were in 6277, above the lifeboats and right behind the streetlamp. Easily our best cabin ever !!

St. Lucia...

I had considered a 4-hour Carnival catamaran excursion for $60pp, But chose Spencer Ambrose tours instead.

Spencer has a website which explains all his different tours.

I chose the "Jalousie Beach Break" which is described as a speed boat trip to Jalosie Beach, nestled between St. Lucia's famous Piton mountains.

We had a great time.

Spencer's tourguide met us at the Cruise terminal and a short walk to the pier and we were off...

We were the first at the beach and ensconced on a few of the free loungers, under the shade trees, by the snorkeling area.

It was a short walk to the restrooms.

Thanks!

It is looking like my next review will be a Miracle review. Very close to booking a May sailing on her out of NYC. :)

Ooooh !... That looks like your Platinum Cruise !

I'm looking at the Glory out of Boston in June for my Platinum Cruise.

We left St. Lucia and headed for St. Kitts.

During the cruise I had a ton of Arnold Palmers, Half Iced tea, Half Lemonade. I wish they would bring back the fruit punch... I know they have it, I saw it in the crew mess on the Behind the Fun tour.

The Ice Cream machines were located on both sides of the grill stations, in the hallways headed to the atrium elevator bank.

And of course, the food was plentiful...

St. Kitts.

For St. Kitts I wanted to go the the Raggae Beach Bar. The last time we were here it was just a brief stop on out taxi tour, but I thought it looked good.

It has Food, Bathrooms and Beach.

We took our time getting off the ship and shared a taxi to the beach.

We rented loungers for $5 each and settled in under the treeline as far back as they could be put, since we had shown up later than most.

I got a really nice back massage for $35, from a very strong woman who dumped plenty of fresh aloe on my back from an aloe leaf... very nice.

We saw Wilbert, the big pig. Apparently this is his home.

And lastly, I ordered food. This did not go so well...

We had gotten a menu on the beach and decided to order a chicken sandwich and a burger... simple enough.

The food looked and smelled awesome. But I never got to taste it.

I placed my order at the bar and took a seat. The woman running the cash register was 2 feet away....

Every few minutes she would look at me as if I had just shown up and would ask if I needed anything, to which I would remind her of my order and she would then tell me it was coming right along.

45 minutes of this, and watching her getting confused with every transaction did not give me a good feeling.

Finally, I asked for my money back. No food...

The waitresses gave me a knowing roll of the eyes, and although they promised my food was going to be ready soon. I took my money back.

Too bad. The food looked really good.

Anyways, it did'nt dampen our spirits and we headed back to "The Buffet of the Seas"...
