Ft. Lauderdale hotels?

If you bid on priceline, you can get a really good hotel really near Port Everglades very reasonably. We got the Renaissance (normally $200 - $250) for $82. If you've never bid on priceline go to the hotel board for lots of tips on how to bid.

We used priceline (with good help from biddingfortravel.com) and got the amerisuites for about $70 per night. They offered free shuttle to and from the cruise ship. Caveat is that there are two amerisuites in FLL. The one we used was on 17th street. If you just get on an Amerisuites shuttle, you need to verify that it goes to the hotel you are staying at.

We always stay at the Radisson in Cocoa Beach...right near the port. Its a beautiful hotel and about $100 bucks.

Good luck!

Julie :D

Julie, Cocoa Beach is 200 miles from Fort Lauderdale/Port Everglades. You're thinking of Port CANAVERAL, which is near Cocoa Beach.

I would recommend the following Fort Lauderdale hotels, which are on SE17th Street, one of the better areas to stay as it's just outside the entrance to Port Everglades and there are many many shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotels.

Renaissance (my personal favorite)... http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/FLLBR

Embassy Suites... http://www.embassysuites.com/en/es/...ctyhocn=FLLSOES

Marina Marriott... http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/FLLFL

Hyatt Pier 66... http://pier66.hyatt.com/property/index.jhtml

Or if you want oceanfront these are directly on the nicest part of Fort Lauderdale Beach, and still only a very short taxi ride to Port Everglades...

Harbor Beach Marriott... http://www.marriottharborbeach.com/

Lago Mar... http://www.lagomar.com/
