Help choose cabin

We are booked on Legend in a balcony cabin, deck 4, all the way on the back, (about 4th cabin from end of the ship) portside. This cabin is over MDR which is on deck 2 and 3.

We can upgrade for $70 total for 2 people to 8 deck balcony in the front portion of the ship (again abou 4 cabins from front) starboard. This cabin apprears to be under Lido pool area.

So it is a choice beteween MDR or pool. I believe MDR would be quiter and only noisy in certain hours than pool but I have never been in the cruise so I might be wrong.

Also would the balcony in the lower aft part get any smell from engine or other balconies (people smoking) as the ship moves?

 

For the lido balcony I worry that I will hear noise from pool not only while in the room but also while on the balcony.

We are early sleepers but would not mind noise at reasonable time in the morning, we dont sleep late.

Stay on Deck 4. We had an aft extended balcony on the Main Deck on Legend this past November and it was a great location.

Much better to be above the dining room than under the pool area!;)

I have not had a cabin under the pool area, but from reading CC I understand that you would be hearing them drag the lounge chairs into place in the early morning hours.

We purposely book aft on the Legend and Miracle because it's a better location for us. The Lido buffet and aft Lido (Serenity) are back there, as well as the dining room. I would stay where you are.

I've stayed on deck 8 twice...once we had almost no noise whatsoever, and the other we always heard someone with loud shoes walking back and forth. So it's luck of the draw up there.

I Agree with lynn,and stay in good position,makes things much easier.:p

What is the Serenity section? Is it for extra charge?

Serenity is an adult only section. Nice loungers. hot tub. Quiet. Free.
