Tampa soda question?

So I had planned on bringing some Diet Pepsi on board. I had originally thought I would give it to the porters in a bag by itself. After recent threads about the naughty room, I now was thinking of carrying it on. I would love some opinions. We leave next week, after the colleges are finished with breaks. I want to at least try even if it is taken since I prefer Pepsi to Coke. I just don't want to waste time in the naughty room. I am already moving all my sunblock and larger toiletries. I am just annoyed that I will be lugging everything around. My main question is will they keep all my bags if I check them or just take the soda? I would be okay just forfeiting it if needed. I already picked up a 6pk with shrink wrap for only $2. If I lose it, I won't sweat it.

Check the diet pepsi. We did. No problem. The porter thought it might be and we were prepared to lose the soda, but it was delivered. The baggage that was delayed had the cheetos in it.

Just put it in some kind of bag or tote....something with handles. Makes it easier for the baggage handlers. Stick a luggage tag on it...no problem.

They must have heard about new trick of soaking Cheetos (the crunchy ones) in vodka first.
