Carnival Victory 3/25- 4/1 Southern Caribbean

The Sheraton is very close, too close to take a cab. It won't be too bad for you because you will only have to cross one street. We had a few to cross and then re-cross cause we got lost, which was harder but I'd still do it again to save the $$.

thanks

Great review. Thanks for posting it. You have some great shots in and out of the water. What kind of camera do you use? We liked our Victory cruise so much we are doing it again the week before Christmas this year so about 8 more months..... can't wait. :D

Thanks :) For the water shots i just used a Kodak c123 I beleive is the model. It was only $60 on sale and got great reviews. I'm happy with it, I have a canon powershot point and shoot for my regular camera, the pics are a mix of both!

@Sugarstar. Thank you for this wonderful review and pictures. As I told you in a previous post I am going on this cruise 9-16-2012. It is really my first ever. IT sounds like you had a good time other than some pitfalls. I don't think I will do that Piton hike...no way : )

I will also bring my own hair dryer. Is there anything you would do that you missed doing if you went on this cruise again. Did other people have problems with their alarm in their room. I am just looking forward to relaxation on the various beaches. Which beach should not be missed?

Darcien007-If this is your first cruise, its going to be hard for you to enjoy all the ship has to offer since there's so many ports. I sailed the Glory which was almost the same ship, so we were ok with missing alot of the ships amenities but If I were you I'd try to make time (somehow!) to visit each of the bars, piano bar, comedy club etc. Take advantage of the free sushi if you like that and try the deli, and wok place. Don't miss the deck parties, and try to get a sit at the main pool on your at Sea day so you can watch or particiapte in the activies there. Definetly try the casino, if you've never played table game before the minimums are low and they are usually willing to teach you. (unlike the casinos here in CT!). I really loved Sapphire in St. Thomas and Orient in St. Maartin, I think they are both a must see. Don't shy away from Orient because its so popular, I did that the first time and ended up not liking St. Martin. The beach is so long, there's plenty of room for everyone and if you spend a little extra, you can get more spacious seats near the center of the beach. as far as the alarm, I never heard anyone elses go off and I never had anyone else mention it.

re-reading this post, you should probably book another week on board to do it all! ;)

Thank you so much for the reply. Yes, I do def want to go to the clubs/bars. I am not one to miss out on a party!! So happy you said to go to Orient Beach as we have nothing planned in St. Maarten. Since that's the last port a day of beach and relaxation sounds wonderful. Thanks again for the great review. I really enjoyed it.

You're welcome! And yes, that is her name; Kristen Bell. Kirsten Dunst kept popping in my head and I knew that was wrong, so that's why I had to type the character she played. :D

Hi SugarStar --

Thanks for the great write-up -- especially on Bolodor in Barbados! I checked with two other "popular" tour companies but they were full. Silver Moon recommended Bolodor. They have good write-ups but not many reviews. Your very detailed write-up really helped including details on the food... We have a few picky eaters! Thanks again -- Kathy:p
