A Very warm and special thank you to all of my breeze buddies for your prayers and thoughts.

Hannah had a great graduation, she did a solo which was wonderful and it made the paper. Sad in a way for your youngest one to be graduating high school. Now on to college.

I had a hard day yesterday, was volunteered to make a dvd of my FIL to play at the funeral home. I was doing real good until all the girls left me by myself and it was extremely hard to get through. There is something about music that triggers my emotions, when I started adding the music to the dvd i just broke down for several hours but pushed on through until completed. Now the receiving of friends is over and have the funeral today, may be MIA for a few days just to get away from it all.

Saw some great pictures of the Breeze, what a beautiful ship!

God Bless All of you, have a great day.

:)

Morning!

Helped Dave with a fence project yesterday. Tore out an old section between us and the neighbors that was right up against a ditch bank...the cows were just walking over the top of it cause the bank has filled in with dirt over the years. We moved the fence over a few feet to get it away from the bank. Looks much better.

Renee ~ glad you had fun! I didn't know you were going on the trip with "him"! :D

Heidi ~ feel better!! I know how NOT FUN it is to be sick while traveling.

Kathy ~ Frank's grandmother sounds a lot like my great-grandmother. She lived alone until she was 96. We lost her a few months short of her 100th birthday. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the birthday trip this year.

I think today is the day the Breeze sails on her maiden voyage!

I pounced when I booked -took 8466. Not sure if those 3 left are actually the only ones left. Erin only was seeing Decks 6 and 8 open when we booked, but I keep looking to see if the Empress deck port side will open up.

Wow!!!! I am very envious! We are considering a wrap, but there aren't any good ones left. The other one on 8 is smaller. 7 is the ideal floor with none left, and 6 would be as Andy aka "Lord Snobbington"puts it "too close to the commoners" (he is kidding folks) but he brings up a good point about privacy.

Good morning Cupids! I am glad to hear that the Cupids going through mourning are getting through hard times. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Yesterday, we ended up just driving around going to garage sales. Bought an awesome stone carved chess set for 10 dollars. Not your typical garage sale, they were selling upscale furniture and home furnishings (it was more of a moving sale). They had this green, maybe a foot to 18 inch, tall statue with a price tag of $14,000... Maybe I should inform these people of the excursion to outer space!

Nothing planned for today. Maybe a trip to the pool if it warms up. Heidi, thanks for the tips about the water parks at Wisconsin Dells. I think we'll just stop researching and go with Noah's Ark. :)

Have a great day all!

Good morning, Breeze buddies!

I have sit in my chair with the head and then a tooth ache. OMG my face is like a balloon. The dentist was going to take me today but he would charge like forget type fees for a Sunday. So I am on antibiotics for my sinuses and the pain has dulled. I shall wait until tomorrow or if I can squeeze it to Tuesday when I am off. I slept in my chair with one puppy in the chair next to me, one in my chair on the side and DH on the couch. What a family I have. They all just want to take care of me.

Rick, I hope you had a good trip. I moved to Florida to be near my Daddy even though he does not know it. I am also an only child. We are an hour apart. He is going to be 84 in July and does not take a pill and is Diamond Plus Plus on Royal Carribbean. He went on 1 Carnival cruise when the Dream was new with me and that was it. He went back to RC.lol He is the picture of health.I am so blessed.

Sue, thanks for the well wishes.

Mimi, I know that you love those slides. I remember you were on them all the time on the Liberty. We use to go to Great Wolf Lodge in Virginia which is an indoor water park with a hotel together. I use to bring the grandchildren and while they were there Kenny and I would either hit the Lazy River or sit and drink some

brews.lol We got a special discount because Kenny worked at the Shipyard so instead of $300 a night it was half the price. Food was so expensive.

Char, I am so glad you made it thru the 2nd roughest day you will ever have and had that great lunch.

Donna, party on your balcony for sure. I shall bring the tooters.lol

Renee, congrats on the big win.

Heidi, I hope you are feeling better and have a super time.

Kathy, how wonderful 100 year old granny. God Bless her. It was nice that you got to spend some time with the family.

Mark, take your time with your family and remember the good times with your MIL. I am so happy that your graduation went well. I remeber when my DS graduated as he was walking down the isle I started yelling YEA THAT'S MY SON. The person behind him said I wonder who that is and he said my mom.lol Then when he graduated from Air Force Boot Camp in San Antonia I was there and he was standing at attention and I told him to turn around so I could take his picture about 3 times. Finally the CO walked over and said if he does he will get in trouble. So I sat down. Then when he got his diploma the CO said ok mom come on down for that picture. He was laughing and I looked at my son and he was not. I took the picture and said I love you. The CO said tell you mother you love her also. Everybody clapped.

Mimi, great buy on the chess set. I bought one of those for my DGS and he just looked at it. Oh well it looked pretty.:D

Time to eat my Cream of Wheat that DH made for me so will chat later. Have a super day. Sunny and 92 here.

Here is a photo of Half Dome in Yosemite...you see the parking lot below...we were just coming from lunch at Curry Village and heading over to the Ahwaunee Hotel...a great place to spend some quiet time in Yosemite.

...and I took it with my iPhone 4...not bad. I thought I would have to crop it alot because we were really far from the rock...you can also get a great shot of HD from the "Tunnel View"...that is another story.

Jim worked in Yosemite for two years on week-ends at Yosemite Lodge when he was in high school...so the park has special memories for him.

Have a good evening all...:)

Hi guys...me again...on the way to bed...and see what happens when you live clear across the country from everyone else...we end up talking to ourselves.

Anyway...the other day I decided to check out the full moon calendar and guess what...we will have a full moon on our cruise. :D :D

There was one other thing I thought of to say...but now I forgot. LOL

Anyway...good night to you all...I think we will be home all day tomorrow...Lisa and Phil and their family will be coming to dinner Tuesday night.

Good morning, Breeze buddies!

Char, I read your post and loved that picture. He doesn't do anything to my cereal but make it with milk. I use to make it with 1/2 and 1/2 but my Diabestes says that is a no no.

Running late so have to go. Have a great day.:)

Good morning Cupids,

Up early this morning to greet all the scabs, strikebreakers and salary idiots headed into the plant. We ad about 50 out there. Better to greet them entering than leaving.

Char, great pic of Yosemete. That's one of the places on our bucket list.

Cathy p, enjoy your creme of wheat. I prefer oatmeal myself. Bettie like her wheat.

Hope everyone has a gret day.

Later,

Dave

Morning!

Looks like we might get a little rain here, and we NEED it!!

Brian and Staci are in the process of looking for a home to buy. They have been pre-approved for financing and have met with a builder who has a couple of lots they like. They really like the floor plan of one home he builds, and it's in their price range. They are going to look at some built homes they are interested in before making the decision though. Super exciting for them!

Char ~ what a great picture!! Yosemite is another "must-do" for us someday.

Cat ~ so sorry about your tooth! I like cream of wheat, but wouldn't want a steady diet of it! Hope you get to the dentist today and get it taken care of!

Dave ~ that strike has gone on a long time. Any progress being made towards a resolution?

Renee ~ yay, you deserve to be spoiled!

It is time to get back to normal (or at least what we call normal) MY FIL was put to rest on Friday. He was 86 and had a good life and was a strong Chrisitan. His Wife of 64 years, 3 children, their spouses, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many friends celebrated his life. RIP Dewey Hobbs.

Morning Cupids...

Kathy...so sorry about your FIL..my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Cat...hope you can get your tooth worked on today. Do you work full-time?

Sue...how exciting for Brian and Staci...hope they find just what they want in a home.

Dave...when you go to see Yosemite come stay with us...we are only about an hour and half from home to the valley floor...you can stay overnight there but it is very pricy...other than camping we have only stayed once in a hotel there because it was half off.

Today we are home all day...:D Two week-ends in a row for an all day trip is a lot on these old bones. LOL Anyway, it is house cleaning and laundry day for me.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

Good afternoon , Breeze buddies!

Thank you for all your well wishes on my tooth. So far it is not bothering me since I have the antibiotics. I will try and get in on Thursday when I am off unless it really hurts.

No I don't work full time. Only about 26 hours a week which is fine with me.

Congrats to Stacie and Brian and I am sorry I am not looking back to see who said what as I am so tired for not sleeping good for 3 nights. I am trying to hold off and go to bed early....Oh man no I can't do that as my Chef Ramsey is on tonight with Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef. I don't want to tape it as I have been waiting a long time to watch it again. I love that chef.;)

I don't work until 12 tomorrow until 5 pm. I hate that shift. I would rather work 7-12 in the morning.

Ok enough babbling, Dave I hope you end that strike really soon.... not you but them.

Kathi, God Bless your FIL and prayers for your family.

Sue, tonight we are having Mac & Cheese and then in the morning more COW.HAHA I never realized what it spelled.lol

OK gang, by!!:D

Glad you're tooth at the moment isn't giving you a problem. I thought I was the only one who liked Hell's Kitchen. I didn't think they were bringing it back. I'm one of those who loves the reality shows, some more than others though.

Howdy Cupids,

No movement on the strike. The company is not talking. The ball is in their court and they refuse to play. We are just waiting for a call from them. At this moment only 3% have crossed the picket line, that is not allot when we are in week 7. I just hope they wake up soon.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Morning!

Kathy ~ very sorry for your loss.

Cat & Donna ~ another Hell's Kitchen & Master Chef fan here! I watched H.K. last night, but taped M. Chef to watch later. Had kind of a sore throat all day yesterday so went to bed early.

We had a good rain yesterday. Had to turn the furnace back on this morning!

Good Morning Breeze Buddies!

Dave, I sure hope the strike ends soon.

I'm calling today my first official day of summer. Yesterday was a long day, 12 hours (most of it commuting) and all I have to do today is drop off some equipment in a neighboring town.

We're going to Royal Buffet today for lunch. This will be Andy's first experience.

Not quite warm enough to go to the pool, but I may go anyway.

Have a great day Cupids! :)

Good Afternoon Everybody. I just got back from my trip. We had a good time and my cold never really materialized, not yet anyway. I was reading the posts on my iPhone while I was gone and I know someone asked where Galena is but now I can't seem to find it so I don't know who asked. Galena is a little town about 3 hours west of Chicago. It's river town with really old buildings that is just loaded with shops and Inns and Bed and Breakfasts now. If anyone is interested in seeing what I am talking about you can check it out here. http://www.galenadowntown.com/ And here's a ling to the B & B that we stayed at. http://www.queenanneguesthouse.com/ We stayed in the Prince George room because it has 2 beds in it. We met some nice couples there. Lori and I were the only "friends" there at the time. LOL. One of the couples were missionaries in Uganda. Northern Illinois is their home but they were just home for a 6 week visit and then they'll go back to Uganda for another year or so. I know Rick said he's was going to be in Rockford and we had to drive through there to get to Galena and back. I don't know if he's there yet but if he is then today we were probably only a couple of miles away form each other at one point.

Mimi -I downloaded the Tapatalk app to my phone but when I tried to use it it didn't work. I haven't had time to figure it out. I don't even know what it is. Could you explain it to me, please?

Cat - How is your tooth? I went through that last August. I put it up there in top 3 most painful experiences ever. It was right up there with child birth and my broken ankle. The dentist gave me antibiotics and Vicodin and told me to see a specialist because he had already done a root canal on that tooth years earlier and didn't want to do it again. Once the antibiotics kicked in I felt fine and is was tempting to skip getting it fixed but I was terrified that the infection would return so I had the root canal re-done by the specialist. That wasn't fun either but it was better than having the infection return.

Char - Nice pic of Yosemite. We've never been there.

Barbara (Ilaga) - I see Kathy already gave you some help with posting. Thanks Kathy. It's really not hard and you must be doing something right because your post showed up. If you just want to post you just hit "Post reply" at the bottom of the page on the left. then type what you want to say and hit "submit." If you want to quote something someone else wrote then got to that post and Click "Quote" on the bottom right of that post. then type what you wan to say below the quote.

Kathy (Ktravel)- I'm so sorry about your FIL.

Sue - I thought about you today when we were driving through cow country.

We stopped at an antique store and I looked out their back window and right behind the place was a pasture with mama's and their babies.

Dave - I can't believe the strike is still going on. I hope it ends soon.

Have a good evening.

Sue, sorry you were not feeling well and hope you are bette soon.

Mimi, congrats on the end of school. How did Andy like the buffet?

Heidi, yep the ole toothe is feeling better and I am progratinating to see if I can make it maybe 2 weeks. I need a bunch of stuff done and not looking forward to it. I am glad that you had a good time. I love B & B's. Kenny and I went from Va Beach all the way to Bath Maine for my class reunion and stayed at all B & B's. OMG some beautiful ones.

Got to go and help Kenny so I will chat later. Hi to chat later to all I have missed. Just remember I am :):)thinking about you all.

Ilaga here. Looking forward to the CC Cupid's IV Cruise, and really looking forward to making new friends to see on the cruise. Jerry and I live on the "west coast" of Florida. I think I miss stated myself, and a few folks thought we lived on the West Coast as in California. Wish we did, we have never been to California, but that could change. We live in Ellenton, Florida just south of Tampa. We have been on 5-Cruises. However, this is our first on Carnival, and from what I have read that you all posted, sounds to me like this is going to be "PURE FUN";) All of our cruises have been to the Caribbean, and this cruise will hit two new ports and we can't wait to see them. I believe "Cruising" in the only vacation to have. By the way, Ilaga stands for Ila,Ga. A small town in Georgia where we lived to 16-years, before moving to Florida. I am a born and raised TEXAN:p. Jerry and I will be having our 34th Anniversity on Feb. 16, 2014. That will make this trip really special. Jerry is a Navy guy, and being a sea for this anniversity, really means alot to him. So this is a Special Cruise.;)

Looking forward to chating with all of you and becoming friends.

Barb

Good Evening Breeze Buddies!

Heidi, Tapatalk is an app that allows you to access your account on various forums. It pushes alerts to let you know when someone has posted in a thread that you participate in.

Will be very useful while traveling. Especially with pre-cruise meet and greets etc. You don't have to spend time logging in, you just click reply and post.

Hi Cat! I hope you're feeling better real soon. Andy LOVED the buffet, especially the hibachi and cotton candy. We will be back frequently. Today they had all you can eat crawfish. I don't care for them, but that's a great deal if you do enjoy them!

Went to the pool today. There were FAR more lifeguards than people. I did not go in... I didn't even bother wearing a swim suit, just tank top and shorts. Too cold to go in, just right for starting my summer baking (of skin that is). And I'm now well into another Kristin Hannah book.

Time to enjoy a Carona... ahhhh.... summer. :)

Edit: Heidi, I am sorry, I am not much help with Tapatalk over a forum. But if you want, I can try to walk you through how to use it over the phone or in person? You may want to reinstall it. You got the paid version, correct? It's 2.99.
