Booking the Magic today - cabin question

Recommended Posts

We are booking the Magic today for sailing in February 2013.

Right now we have rooms 6311, 6315, 6321 and 6325 reserved for our group. Can anyone tell me if these rooms will be right above one of the hot tubs?

Didn't even think about being above deck 5 when I talked to my TA yesterday since we have not sailed this ship before and this was not an issue in the other ships we have sailed on.

Thank you!

Go to the Carnival site and look at the deck plans.

I would be moving those cabins. Its far enough out where you should be able to get 4 cabins in a row,

Move up one deck to the empress level.

For the same price you can grab the empress aft.

These 4 cabins are directly over the area where they set up a band across from the casino bar. This band starts playing after 9pm and plays into the wee hours.

Just got off the Magic on the 8th. I had friends that were in 6269. I was suppose to be in 6271 but moved to the Spa deck because of Lanai on deck 5. My friends were not over a hot tub and they said that noise level was not bad. Hot tubs shut down at 10 pm. Also, never saw a band across from casino. The band was located in Ocean Plaza which is located on the other side of Internet Cafe. I would definitely move up at least one deck because of all of the activities inside and outside on deck 5.

Those cabins are just forward of the midship Lanai hot tub. In fact, you can see them in this picture I look about a month ago...

That was taken from the midships hot tub wing. Cabin 6311 is the third balcony cabin visible in the photo followed by 6315 and 6311. Personally, I'd relocate if I could...

Thank you for all of your help. Looks like we are going to see what else is available. We have may to split up since there just isn't much left with 4 cabins all together. Its hard to believe that this far out they are so booked up.

I appreciate all your help since I am pretty clueless in this department.

i would avoid a balcony on 6 period. picture sitting on your balcony and someone on deck 5 looking up at you. Close enough to carry on a normal conversation without even talking loud. its to close to everyone walking by to be peaceful in my opinion. i was on deck 9 on the dream and remember thinking as i walked around on 5.. poor saps on 6..

Yep... this is looking directly at cabins 6329 and 6331 on the Magic...

Not exactly what one would call private...

what you see online is not all that is available== there are others.

You just need to talk to an agent to see what else there is.

Being next to each other is really not that important- its not like you can all hang in one room together-- and all 4 balconies can not be opened together.

for piece of mind-- i would rather be seperated and in a decent location with no noise issue then be next door to my family
