Must eat is Sabor! In my opinion the best specialty restaurant in the fleet. Well worth the $25 pp charge. And this from the person who didn't go there in March because I thought it was crazy to put a Mexican restaurant on a ship sailing from Galveston. In June I decided to try it and in August I was baaack! I will be there again in March and August next year.

Haha I have heard really good things about this place. Can you order as much as you want to try off of the menu for that $25 per person fee? I looked at the sample menu and it all sounds so good!

There are many threads about NOS that are more up to date since the refurb. Here are a few. Sabor at Lunch may be $15 per person. Several have said they ate there at least twice! :D

I am anxious for 59 days to pass! :D:D

Thank you for sharing those threads. I'll have to go through them! This will be my first RC cruise and I've had such good luck learning all about the ins and outs and secrets and what not about the ships I was going on with Carnival but I couldn't find a thread that had this type of info for Navi since the updates. I appreciate all the ship reviews out there but I'd like a thread where you could find everything you could possibly want to know about the Navigator, I see those for other ships so I thought it odd there is wasn't one I could find about this ship! Thanks again for the threads. My cruise isn't booked yet but prob won't be til next year, so I'm jealous of your 59 days! Haha have a good cruise! :D

What is a must see on this ship?

Must do?

Must eat?

Must see: Ice Show; on a clear night, go to the Helipad for incredible star watching; The Quest (hilarious)

Must do: FlowRider; Silent Disco; evenings in Boleros (at least, that's for us!)

Must eat: Izumi; Sabor; Chops

Pete

Does anyone know if there is a mystery dinner on nos and if so is it worth it to go to? How long does it last?

There is. I've not been, but was considering it on our next sailing in 10 days. But after reading reviews, i have decided to pass... Not my thing, but might be your thing. I hear it's very crowded, and very hoakie. But entertaining. Search the threads for it... That's where I read about it....

I sure wish I could find a definitive answer to that... I still can't figure out if Sabor serves lunch or not! I even called C&A yesterday, and was told without a doubt "dinner only."

If they actually served lunch, that would solve a huge dilemma for me. I know my boyfriend would absolutely *love* Sabor, but I'm a dinner traditionalist and don't like missing MDR dinner.

Has anyone actually eaten at Sabor for lunch??

Sabor was open for lunch on sea days a few weeks ago on Navigator. However, online reservations were not available for lunch.

Was their lunch menu differnt from their dinner menu?

This -- And was the price different as well?

We did not actually eat at Sabor, I just remember talking to the host and he mentioned they were open for lunch on sea days. So I can't answer the questions about different menus or prices. Sorry.

I have been searching high and low for some threads that are very thorough to have answers to a lot of the questions I have about this ship(especially since its my first Royal Caribbean cruise) and I found 2 that I am REALLY enjoying that I wanted to share with all of you looking for as much info as I am.

I sailed on her the first sailing out of dry dock.... We did a cabin crawl, so got to see 8 different cabin catagories. IMHO... This is the prettiest ship I have been on. The color scheme, artwork & decor is (to me) over the top gorgeous. ... so modern & beautiful.

When you are actually standing on her, soaking it all in... You will be mesmerized! Photos & reviews just can't give you the real "feel" of actually being there...

I have been reading through a a 7 day compass and it looks like specialty restaurants are only open for lunch on sea days. On the 6/8/14 compasses it shows that Sabor was open for lunch on day 6 and day 7 from noon-1:30pm. Looks like cost is the same as dinner though $25 per person. I guess if you really wanted to eat here but couldn't make it to dinners, it would be worth it. I'm definitely excited to try this place.
