travelgurl2 Posted April 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2012 My son will be 60 days away from his 18th birthday on our next cruise. He looks 20 already. I know you have to be 18 to actually gamble on the ship - does anyone know if there will be a problem with him actually being in the casino watching me play roulette or sitting with me while I play the slots? He has no desire to gamble - he just wants to watch me lose my money! On our last cruise (he was 16) he and his cousin (who was 17) did go into the edge of the casino on various occasions - and his cousin played the "quarter drop" game. Does anyone know?? I don't think there will be a problem if he looks older. I did see the staff telling some of the young ones to "move along". The kids can walk through the casino but can not stop and watch. The worst that will happen is they tell him to "move along". I think he will get bored watching you lose your money anyway ;)
Frank12 Posted April 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2012 He probably won't get messed with if he is just watching.
SadieN Posted April 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2012 If they look like they belong no one will kick them out. Our DD went into the casino at 17 and had no problems on either ship.

maldenmusic Posted May 1, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2012 My daughter was 20 on her first cruise a couple of years ago and no one ever said anything to her or asked for ID.
