We will be traveling on the inspiration in July and am wondering about the slot machines in the casino. Are there any nickle and dime slot machines? I like to play the quarter slots, but am wondering what other money amounts are available in the casino. :)

Thanks

I can't answer regarding the Inspiration but, I know that on the Carnival Elation they had nickel slots and I would assume that most of Carnivals ships are outfitted mostly the same way.

I've never seen a dime slot machine on a cruise ship, but most have a very small collection of nickle machines. The cruise lines should learn from Las Vegas that nickle slots are a big draw (for cheap gamblers like myself!) If I can't find a nickle machine, I don't use the slots. In Las Vegas, they are everywhere, but on ships, they are few and far between. Big disappointment.

The only nickle slots I've seen on a ship were the little 'cartoony game' ones...not regular slots like Sizzlin' Sevens, etc., and I don't like those at all....SO, I have donated many quarters in the regular slot machines.

Here on the coast, all the casinos have penny, nickle, and dime machines, but they're the game type.

Never seen dime slots anywhere.

Cotton --- the stupid cartoony nickle slots are my favorite! I think they are a lot more fun (esp. the bonus rounds) than watching a bunch of fruit or 7's spin around. Maybe I'm just cheap. And penny slots, when they have them are even better. Yeah, I'm cheap;)

I was in Vegas a few years ago and was able to find one casino with dime slots. I can't remember the name of it, but it was an older casino along the strip. It was a small casino, but had dime slots. Needless to say when I played the dime slots I did not win. I had a bunch of dimes to donate to the casino, which I did.

Uh, I didn't call them 'stupid', you did. Nor did I say anybody was cheap for playing them. Re-read my post.:)

My whole family from mother to siblings to husband all call them "stupid machines"!

But each and everyone one us love them and donate money to them regularly.:D

There were nickel slots on the Conquest.

Nickel slots are fun, and a good way to get entertainment without losing too much money. I played a nickel slot at the Bellagio in Vegas, I had a near jackpot with the "Bellagio", "Bellagio", "double bar". 60 times 10 times 10 = 6,000 coins. Turns out to be just $300, but still, a 6,000 coin payoff. Stopped right there and then and took my money back to the room!

They may be more expensive but I loved the Wheel of Fortune machines.

I kept looking at the pigs or sheep machines and wasn't sure how those worked.Anyone with any experience?

Kathleen

Yup those are real easy to play....you put a bunch of coins in then pull the lever wait until all the action stops then put another bunch of coins in and pull the lever again....repeat this action until your money is gone;) :D They are still a lot of fun

If you will reread my post, I didn't accuse you of calling them stupid nor did I accuse you of saying anyone was cheap.

I was simply stating my feelings. I think they are stupid and love the games anyway. And compared to the folks who pay $5.00 a pull, some might think I'm cheap - so I was only poking fun at myself. Seems you were looking for and responding to something that simply was not ever intended. Sorry you misunderstood me.
