Fat Jimmy's BBQ- Carnival Breeze

Recommended Posts

Well, his "Imenseness" just confirmed it is the same as the existing "BBQ" on the Dream and Magic, with an upgraded menu. And if you read his blog carefully it is clear that he and Carnival are using the term BBQ very loosely, e.g. Referring to the "Grill" and not really true BBQ fare which Texans and Carolinions and other states where good BBQ food is served are familiar with. A subtle distinction for sure, so those of you who know real BBQ fare will be disappointed.

We also wish they would put more beef on the BBQ menu. We are not pork fans, and there are many people who won't eat pork for religious reasons. And grilled sausages? YUCK! Talk about fattening. Not a fan.

But, yes ..... give us some peach or cherry cobbler and we will be there in an instant!

Unlike some others, John is just trying to be a diplomat and PC.

A benefit is that he sidesteps all the Texas vs KC vs Memphis vs NC BBQ BS. The Americans can argue elsewhere about the merits of various kinds of American BBQ.

What I win with the most is Carolina style pulled pork, Memphis style ribs, Texas style beef brisket and Tex-Mex style chicken.

Because it is BS. The word BBQ can be used different ways. When I say, "lets have a BBQ", it doesn't have to mean that it will be slow cooked etc like real BBQ is cooked. The haters are gonna hate.

The word itself is meaningless. New Orleans Barbecue Shrimp have nothing to do with a barbie or but are so good, it should be criminal. Here is a variation with lump crab meat.

Some of the best brisket I have ever eaten was in South America and had nothing to doIMG_1576.JPG with barbeque.

To BBQ you must use wood smoke, and a slow and low heat to cook the meat.

looks like you were reported too, and have been called names by the grand master J.

but it looks like the real bbq afficianadoes (sp) are defending you. the usual losers are simply calling you names.

Isn't that special, the negative nancy and the know it all are bff's!

There are religions that don't eat beef as well. I'd rather they serve what the masses want instead of trying to be PC to every group out there. If they tried to please everyone with their menu, we'd starve!

For somebody who posts about struggles with weight loss on here, that is pretty shallow, mean and ironic to refer to JH that way.

Educate yourself first.
