INTERLINER13 Posted May 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2012 I got a great rate on the Carnival Breeze Inaugural cruise leaving June 3, so my parents to decided to book it. I was just wondering if they do anything special because it is an inaugural cruise? <Totally spelled Anything wrong, and can't change it.>

kristikae Posted May 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2012 We got absolutely nothing on our Freedom Inaugural cruise. In fact workman from the ship builders were still on the ship gluing on trim, painting things etc.

kristikae Posted May 8, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2012 We only did it because it was a great 9 day itinerary - and was just offered the one time. After that the ship did 12 day sailings.

kristikae Posted May 8, 2012 #8 Share Posted May 8, 2012 Yes. It really wasn't that big of a deal with the workers onboard. It was a very port intensive trip so we weren't on the ship much anyway.

This cruise is very port intensive as well. I think its 2 days at sea total (not together) out of the 12 days. It was 499pp, so they didnt want to pass it up. agc291 Posted May 9, 2012 #10 Share Posted May 9, 2012 I believe there was a thread last summer for the Magic that showed some special party type thing they had on the inaugural cruise. It was a great review about 27 pages worth of info & questions being answered. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1410933&highlight=magic+inaugural
jonbgd Posted May 9, 2012 #11 Share Posted May 9, 2012 , the crew doesn't coagulate, and there is still "building" going on. Ive never seen the crew coagulate but thats a good reason not to do it anyways:D BTW avatar and fire?

We have never booked becasue of the chance of a delay. Maybe when we retire and dates mean nothing we will try one (:
