carnival liberty torn about categories to choose

hi folks,

we are about to book our first carnival cruise. it will be on the carnival liberty.

so far the cabin categories available for us to book are

8M $140 difference to move up to 9B

9B $70 to move up to OS

is it worth to book 9B category or even splurge to OS?

anyone got any experience, suggestions about these categories?

thanks in advance:)

Hi; I would also ask this on the Carnival board.

We just had 8M on Freedom (sister of Liberty) and it was great. Regular cabin (which was plenty of space) and deeper balcony than side balconies.

The 9B I believe is last cabin afton the sides? Longer balcony and it's an odd-shaped (L shaped) cabin.

OS cabins are suites about 1.5x the size of regular balcony cabins so there's a lot more cabin space and a wider balcony.

It's really personal opinion about which is better to spend more $!

what cabin do you have now?

We sailed the Liberty three times-- an aft- the L Shape before we settled on 7411.

are you saying that you are in a 9C now? which is a wrap around balcony.

no suite beats the wraop around balcony.

but it sounds like you have an aft balcony.

with the regular aft-- you get a sofa-

the balcony is nice-- you will get lounge chairs out there-- youw ill not have lounge chairs on the regular aft

BUT

the aft balconies tend to stay warm- there is no ocean breezes back there.

the 9B- is the L shaped cabin- (I hated that cabin. i felt that I was on top of my honey by midweek.

Only can watch tv by laying in the bed on my right side-- couldnt lay flat and turn my head-- honey was in the way if he was watching tv.

the balcony is long-- not wide. and ya know== you can only use so muuch space for two people-- Not worth the money
