cruisesusie Posted June 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2012 I was checking flights for our Feb. 2013 cruise and noticed there are 3 airports in Buenos Aires. Does anyone know which airport is closest to the pier. Thanks, Susan

Does anyone know which airport is closest to the pier. Thanks, Susan Aeroparque, or Jorge Newberry airport (they are the same airport) is the closest airport to the cruise port. It has a limited number of international flights. It is mainly used for domestic flights, with Ezeiza (EZE) or Pistarini (again the same airport with two different names), about an hour away depending on traffic. Rare TracieABD Posted June 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2012 About how much would a cab cost from EZE to the pier? Thank you!:)
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 10, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2012 The one that we use for flights back to the States is EZE which is located about an hour from the pier. Most of the flights back to the States leave at night. Keith
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 10, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2012 I believe the price is around $50.00. Could be a little cheaper. Be sure that it is a Radio Taxi. Keith
sddsddean Posted June 10, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2012 We used http://www.taxiezeiza.com.ar/eng to get to our hotel from EZE. They are directly outside the arrivals door as you exit customs...can't miss them. They are advertising 220 pesos (about $50) to Jorge Newberry airport; as the cruise terminal is next door it should be the same. Simon
Fattony Posted June 12, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2012 You ask about closeness to the pier, but seemed to assume you could choose to fly out of any of them. I know of just two airports, AEP (as noted, domestic and regional flights) and EZE (the international airport). If you're flying from/to the U.S. or Europe, you'll use EZE. There are shuttles and taxis available. Hope you're not flying in the day of your cruise. People did that for our cruise and were dealeyd in Miami, so missed the ship's departure. Fortunately, the first stop was Montevideo and they were able to catch the ship there.
cruisesusie Posted June 12, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted June 12, 2012 Thanks everyone for your replies. I guess we'll be flying out of EZE. Susan
