Past Guest Party Question

Recommended Posts

Yes, they really are no big deal.

We bought lottery tickets for the free cruise, just in case we got lucky.

The drinks and snacks are no big deal, but what the heck it's something to do, to fill time,

and it's a freebie, and kinda fun experiencing the audience participation

when they ask how many cruises folks have been on!

.

We bought lottery tickets at a past guest party once and won. But now they won't count those free cruise days towards diamond. I am so upset, I may not cruise Carnival again :)

Seems like a bit of a fuss over nothing but regardless - rules should be rules. If the invite does not say "guest", kick them out. If only 1 person of a couple is invited, only 1 person gets in.

Things would be a lot simpler if rules were clearly stated at rigidly enforced without exception. Then there would be no shades of grey.

My one freebie cruise didn't earn me any points on the new rating scale

but I survived...even though the psychological scarring remains.. :( :D

I understand them... no pay = no day-points.

And by the way it's actually night-points

(number of nights you spend on board their ships, not days)

yeah but they should count the days even though that last day ends so early in the morning, we would all have 1 extra point for each cruise taken. but like you I will survive

These are questions I have too because under the new system I am gold but my hubby is red BUT by the end of our next cruise he will be gold also. So really the issue is will he be able to go to the past guest party with me or not. The last one we went to was crowded but I want to check out the new change to see what is different, hopefully better. :)

From Carnival's website:

Guests graduating into a new level during a cruise will receive the benefits of the new level they are graduating into from the beginning of the cruise (e.g. those graduating to Gold on the 3rd day of a 5-day cruise will receive Gold benefits for the entire duration of their cruise).

If you are upgrading to a higher level during your cruise, then your card would be the color of the level you are on, on that cruise. Why even bring the invite, you have your sail and sign card which states what level you are on. We didn't bring ours last time, the bouncer just let us in...
