Leaving Our Bags to Go Sightseeing Before Departure?

Hi, everyone!

Thanks for all of your help and assistance. Mom and I are in Vancouver now and have a quick question. Can we go to the dock, leave our bags, and go sightseeing in Vancouver for a bit? Or do we have to go to the dock and stay there until the cruise departs?

Yes you can drop your bags off and go sightseeing. Just make sure your back by around 3 pm. Don't want to miss the ship.

What time are you planning on dropping your bags off? I ask that question because if they are still off-loading bags from the previous voyage, your bags might just be stitting at the terminal until they can be on-loaded. I would not just leave my bags unattended on the pier until such time as they could be on-loaded (just my personal habit). Regards, Salacia

I agree with you. The bags could get mixed up.

And some ports will not take bags until 10:30 AM or later.

Why not leave your luggage at the desk in your hotel -- tour Vancouver -- and then when you are ready to go to the pier -- pick up your luggage?

that's what i would do. i'm an early-bird though. i would be leaving the hotel at the crack of dark.

Sure would be a "downer" :( to have your luggage start the cruise without you.

This is a much better (safer?) plan of action.

If your ship is at Canada Place pier, there is a luggage drop-off for fee $$$ before you enter the security area. Not sure of the cost, but this way you can leave the hotel, drop your bags off and do whatever you please, picking up your bags later and proceeding onboard.m
