gigivic Posted May 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2005 We were lucky enough to catch an aft corner stateroom come open so we changed from our mid ship cabin. Our E-docs have our old cabin number and info on them. Called RCCL and they were no help. Can I write in our new stateroom number? What does the 2 numbers at the bottom of the tag mean? Ours states RD. We are on the same level as before just different room.
TrentS Posted May 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2005 There are plenty of blank baggage tags at the piers. Take a Sharpie with you and write in your cabin number on new blank tags, then add the other info they ask for, put them on, give them to a porter (with tip ;)) and proceed inside to check in... Enjoy your cruise!
Flossie Posted May 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2005 Yep TrentS is right, we were upgraded on our last cruise and since we have to claim our luggage now and it does not go directly to the ship from the airport you can put new luggage tags on at the pier. He is correct that it is helpful to take a sharpie with you to write the new numbers on,sometimes whoever meets you at the airport the person with the clipboard will have new tags with them and you can put them on there to. Pre911 once you checked your luggage at the airport you did not see it again til it was at your door on the ship, things have changed since then, they try very hard to keep us all safe while traveling. gigivic Posted May 9, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted May 9, 2005 I guess just the stateroom number and AFT will get them there. Just didn't know what the two letters at the end of the tag meant. Thanks to all
cruisinfanatic Posted May 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 9, 2005 Make sure that you print out your online boarding docs that you filled out. The cabin that you are booked in now will be on them. With the luggage tags, if you're on the same level, I have in the past simply made a sticker on my computer with the right cabin number on it and put it over the old one. If you're on a different level, I'd get a new tag form a porter at the terminal. They have pockets full of them.
