Navigator of the Seas??

Recommended Posts

hi hubby and I are going on RC in Sept from Rome to Sicily, Turkey and Greece. I hope there are enough activities on the ship to keep us busy. We are 60 yrs old however live in a very ACTIVE retirement community and when we cruised Holland american we were BORED!! We won't be ice skating or climbing rock walls but we do like to dance, dance, art, cooking classes, softball, golf etc... we're not into bingo and sitting all day and can you get near a pool?? ON HA we couldn't even get a seat near the pools??

We never try for a seat NEAR the pool...the loungers are arm to arm...just too close for us! But, we've never had a problem getting loungers on the deck above the pool level...a good view and still close enough to take a dip when needed...and you can spread the loungers out a bit!

I can't help with the classes....not sure there are any...don't think Nav. has anything but putt-putt golf, but there is a sports deck! There's a movie theater (small, but doable) and a casino!!!

We just returned from this cruise and loved it. It was me (30), DH (34), mom (56), dad (64), brother (27) and his gf (28) and we were all entertained. We were able to get seats near the pool the three times we went to the pool (both sea days and the afternoon of Athens). On the sea days it seemed the afternoon by the pool was very busy but we got seats in the morning and were fine. There were some art auctions, trivia contests, mini golf, a golf simulator with a longest drive contest, some yoga/stretching type classes, dance by the pool during the day and dancing in the evening. In the evening, in addition to the regular shows, there was also karaoke, a piano man, as well as other music/dancing. During the day they also had some fun things like sexiest man competition, belly flop competition, towel folding demonstration, ice sculpture demonstration, etc.
