Gaznjo Posted July 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2012 Well it is a little late but this is my first chance to post since they left...... Our week started with the anticipation of a gathering 2011 Crazy Cruisers at out house.... We were looking forward to housing a couple of CC friends from New Zealand when they arrived on Thursday ready for their cruise on Friday. What they didn't know was that more CCers from our 2011 world cruise were also flying in from Queensland to surprise them..... On Thursday night there was a gathering of 10 cruisers which was just great... On Friday we headed down to wharf 5 to get our kiwi friends all checked in only to be astounded by the reunion this ended up being. As you looked around the big white tent there were familiar faces everywhere..... Our table up the back grew bigger and bigger .... If I wasn't envious before I was now....... You can imagine how hard it was to wave off all our friends as they boarded with out me.... I was contemplating if I could copy that young English boy who attached himself to another family and got himself onto a flight to Italy.... Since we were down there we decided to hang around for sail away.... How tragic is it that you can recognise the cruise directors and the head pursers voice as they made their announcements...... We could have cried when Warren welcomed everyone aboard especially all those back on board from the 2011 WC........ So from down on the wharf we watched as she turned and then steamed her way towards the harbour bridge...... Alas it was back home for us to cook and serve our own dinner..... I have got photos which I will post tomorrow but I am just too cold to venture down to the study...... I know they will have a wonderful trip...... Gaznjo Posted July 31, 2012 Author #13 Share Posted July 31, 2012 had a short email today from our friends currently on the Dawn Princess... made us sooooo jealous.... here is a part I thought I would share... "Life on board is fabulous, we know so many people from the world cruise, which makes it a happy place. We're going through the Torres strait as I write, got quite close to land too earlier on. The sea so far has been calm, long may it last. Having 5 days at sea at the beginning is a great way to relax and get into the cruising mode. Too many late night though, tonight I'm going to try and get to bed before midnight! Seen a couple of good shows, last night it was Pearson and Harvey, a couple of Aussie comedians, very funny. The food as usual is great and plentiful, just had smoked salmon for breakfast, and other scrumtious things, I probably won't have lunch, pigs might fly!! Must dash, lots to do as you know, oh! so stressful." :D:D:D:D
