Norwegian Sea

We have signed up for a cruise that includes the Norwegian:confused: Sea going from Copenhagen to Iceland. Has anyone experienced the Norwegian Sea? If so, what about the turbulence of that sea?

We booked on Azamara.

The Norwegian Sea is just the name for the part of the North Atlantic ocean between north Norway and Greenland. Can't help about the state of the seas though.

The Norwegian Sea is just part of the North Atlantic, and I've never heard of any likelihood of different conditions from the rest of the ocean. I don't think there's any particular depth changes that might cause problems.

 

As for conditions, that depends on the weather, they're variable. It basically depends on the wind, and for a reliable forecast, wait until the day before. Might be flat calm, and is unlikely to resemble the Southern Ocean.
