scareyness Posted August 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2012 I wondered if anyone might have any advice/info on drinks packages that might be available on P&O ships? I'm guessing that as you can take wine and spirits onboard and also that drinks prices are generally cheaper with no service charge there is no need to purchase one? We purchased one last year when sailing with Celebrity and found it to be ok. Not cheap, but we like a decent coffee with breakfast and dinner so used it then, I also had fresh squeezed grapefruit juice or a smoothie at breakfast, and no worries if you ordered a cocktail and didn't like it!!:D
BrianI Posted August 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2012 P&O dont do drinks packages as such. The only thing they do is wine packages. If you are sailing outside the EU duty area (eg Norway, Gibraltar, Canaries etc) then you can buy duty free on board cheaper than carrying on from the UK Brian

We are looking a booking Atlantic Coast, J215.

daiB Posted October 24, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2012 Bump I-d like to know about this......... There has been a great deal about this recently. The current state of affairs is as follows (this information is only valid for the amount of time it takes you to read it) You can take on board wine and spirit. Unless you are clearly rolling drunk. You can buy drink for the cabin at ordinary prices eg. Ltr Gordens Gin £22.00. You can buy duty free from a shop but you can only pick it up on the last day of the cruise. You can buy duty free on shore and take It to your cabin. You can obtain mixers, ice and lemon from your cabin steward. This is true as of 24th October 2012. The way it has changed over the past 6 month it may not be true 25th October 2012:rolleyes::cool: Gan Canny Dai
