Robin7 Posted August 22, 2012 #51 Share Posted August 22, 2012 In a strange coincidence, I found out today that a friend of mine was on the tour boat which was rescued. This is what she posted on her facebook: Got a little more than I bargained for when I decided to take a last minute day tour during my weekend stay in Glacier Bay NP. Quote of the day: "That's your captain [of huge cruise ship]...picking up shipwrecked passengers, 3 hours behind schedule, and still pointing out Puffins." Very nice! Is one more common than the other? Roy Morning Roy In Dutch, they should both be spelled Rik, no 'c' because they are short for the typical Dutch names Hendrik and Hendrikus, no "c". Sometimes, names, including the spelling of same, get more anglicised; it's up to the "owner";)

RuthC Posted August 23, 2012 #57 Share Posted August 23, 2012 "Love" your comment, Ruth. Would sure love to meet you one day bit you won't find me flying to the East Coast. :D Thanks, and I'd like to meet you, too. Maybe someday! I don't leave from east coast ports very often, either; I go a lot further afield than that. ;)
