Purchase Alcohol from NCL?

Is there any way to purchase a bottle of booze from NCL prior to boarding? On our cruises with Holland America, I have purchased a liter bottle of Beefeaters Gin along with cans of Tonic for less than $40. I would like to do the same for upcoming Canada trip but cannot find it on the NCL site (looked in the Bon voyage area).

Can anyone help?

Yes, you can call reservations/customer service and request a bottle of liquor to be delivered to your stateroom. The price is not cheap, I think they start at about $80/liter and go up from there. But it's cheaper than individual drinks. They also add a $3 service fee, which doesn't really make sense to me. It now includes some mixers and garnishes, but I haven't cruised since they started doing this.

There are 33 "shots" per bottle. If you figure $8 per drink on the ship, your talking about $264 worth of drinks. If you pour doubles your still talking about 16 drinks, about $2.50 per drink for the booze. Not too expensive to me. Whatever you do, have fun.

If they find your rum runners, you lose them and the booze that's in them.

Actually, more like 22 shots. 20 years in the bar business taught me that.

Not if we are talking about ounces in a liter .

( One liter of liquid is equal to 33.81 fluid ounces. )

I do like your heavy hand though ;)
