KNITWITS Posted August 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2012 We will be in Barcelona on a Sunday before our cruise-has anyone bought advance tickets for the church on Sunday? Do they still allow access in the afternoon same as other days of the week? We do fly in on Saturday, but thought we'd probably be too jet-lagged to tour.
Sea42 Posted August 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2012 You can try for your specific date http://www.sagradafamilia.cat/sf-eng/docs_serveis/infoTarifesInd.php but I tried a few random Sundays and there was no problem getting tickets for a Sunday afternoon. Some came over to line of those already holding tickets (since it was very short) and were turned away and directed to long line when they reached ticket booth. KNITWITS Posted August 26, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted August 26, 2012 Thank you, I'll definitely purchase tickets, just wasn't sure that being a church if Sunday morning would have limited options for viewing.:)
2ptu/000 Posted August 27, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2012 Do you think we need to prepurchase tickets for the end of October?
BostonGirl88 Posted August 27, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2012 Hello, I visit the http://www.sagradafamilia.cat/sf-eng...TarifesInd.php. All they have is to advance purchase ticket to the church, but there is no ticket for the tower. My question is, where can I get a ticket to go up to the tower too? Thank you
crcossel Posted August 29, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2012 I have a similar question. We want to go do this the day of our cruise. How much time should schedule?
Rare luckybecky Posted August 30, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 30, 2012 I have a similar question. We want to go do this the day of our cruise. How much time should schedule? We spent about an hour there. We did not go up in the tower. We arrived early in the morning and it was not crowded at all, so it did not take long to see everything. We did have advance tickets, which I highly recommend. There is a museum downstairs. If you want to take the time to look at every exhibit and read all the information cards, you'll need to add another 30 minutes to an hour at least. But the church itself is the main attraction, and for that we thought one hour was sufficient.
