Sapphire Maui Snorkel Cruise

We are going on the Sapphire and in looking at snorkeling in Maui the ship excursion is at $99/person. I can't locate a private tour to do this same experience. Does anyone know of other options I just haven't come across?

 

Or if you have done this through the ship what was your experience?

What time is the snorkel trip?

 

You can rent a car to drive to a number of snorkeling spots. If it's a boat trip to Molokini, it needs to be done in the early morning, otherwise the trade winds and the chop pick up.

I have done this ship excursion on the princess golden twice, when I went on the sapphire last year it was sold out. I loved it, fruits and stuff in the morning, snorkeling, bbq lunch (all u can eat),then snorkeling again, saw lots of turtles, cookies, then 45 min boat ride back, I actually have already booked it on my cruise in November cruise back on the golden. Best excursion I have ever done for such a reasonable price :p:p
