SandS204ever Posted September 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2012 Ok so coming off the Splendor on Dec. 16th, and we fly out of LAX at 12:35, carnival transfer service says no flights before Noon, so I figured we should be ok. There is just my wife and myself. Wondering if it might be better to go with a taxi and not have to wait for the shuttle to fill up. Then again will there be much of wait if we get off in the first wave?
SadieN Posted September 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2012 Taxi is around $55-$60 plus tip. It is a flat rate and it will be posted. The Carnival shuttles are huge busses that wait til they are filled. Then they can possible stop at all the terminals. If you are flying United (last terminal in the horseshoe) it will take a while to get there.

Might think twice and take a taxi, might be quicker.

A bus will stop at 5 other terminals (includes the unnumbered International terminal) before T5...and those include WN and AA where I'd assume a lot of people will need to unload from the bus for their flights. Rare Keith1010 Posted September 14, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2012 We use a private car. We've used execucar. Their web site is http://www.execucar.com You may want to take a look at their site and get a price quote. 12:35 for a flight will be fine. Do you just call as you are getting off the ship?
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 14, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 14, 2012 In our case we told them 9:00 AM but we had their contact number with us so when we arrived into port and had a better sense of disembarkation time frames we either pulled it up, left it alone, or pushed it out accordingly. JEMGL13 Posted October 16, 2012 #8 Share Posted October 16, 2012 Just read this post. How long is the ride to the airport from the Carnival terminal to LAX?
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 17, 2012 #9 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Likely around 30 minutes. Could be slightly longer depending on time of day/day of week. Booking fights Noon or later is best. Keith
