kevinyork Posted September 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2012 Contemplating trying a trip on Eclipse next spring. I've found several example dinner menus online and can see there are some Vegetarian choices but can anyone advise if they have a separate Vegetarian menu too? This is one thing we like on P&O who offer a separate Veggie menu to pre-order from for the following night. Also, are dishes in the buffet marked as suitable for Veggies? anandaindonesia Posted September 22, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2012 I asked, and this is the reply I got : In the MDR ask for the Vegetarian menu (speak to the Maitr'd). They do have a separate menu for you which includes one vegan meal as well. The menu changes from day to day, so it should be good.

anandaindonesia Posted September 22, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2012 In answer to the other question you asked, buffet offerings are not marked. Breakfast is no problem but for lunch I hope they can put labels so at least to make it easy for the vegetarians...
celebrity Posted September 22, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 22, 2012 Wow! I'm thrilled! It's been a number of years since I sailed Celebrity so I am happy they didn't do away with the vegetarian menus. Do they still offer several apps, entrees etc on the veg menu? Rare cruisestitch Posted September 22, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 22, 2012 No they do not put labels specifying "meatless" or "vegetarian" on the foods in the buffet. They simply name the dish, such as "green bean casserole" which might have ham or bacon in it. You need to discuss your preferences with the staff -- if the server behind the counter doesn't know if a dish (such as baked pasta) contains meat, get a supervisor who can find out for you.
