Trainman-2 Posted November 4, 2012 Author #1610 Share Posted November 4, 2012 (edited) Shortly after I posted that we had returned home safely, I started checking my phone messages. SHOCKARONIE!!!!! Our first choice for a Home in the Country was back on the market and after a short discussion, we decided to back out of the contract on our second choice home and go with the first choice. Closing was scheduled for this Friday, Nov 9th on the second choice home. We expect to lose our $2,500 deposit and maybe we will be stuck with some costs already incurred by the tile and bath people we contracted with to start on Monday, Nov 13. We will meet with them tomorrow morning> But our first choice is much better with four bedrooms and a four car oversize garage. And it will be ready for us to move in the day after we close on Dec 5th. All we will need to add is a pool which the second choice house needed too. A few photos Front yard from the paved road. A fantastic kitchen with all new appliances The back porch. We will roof it over and add a pool up against it with a screened enclosure. The back yard and future site of the out door railroad. Our neighbors across the road And the cost is $10K less than the second choice house. Edited November 4, 2012 by Trainman-
Trainman-2 Posted November 4, 2012 Author #1611 Share Posted November 4, 2012 Back to Cruising... I have 90% of my photos uploaded to PhotoBucket and you can view them at this link. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v329/Trainman-2/2012%20Vision%20Panama%20Canal/ They are sorted by day. If it doesn't give a location, the ship was at sea.

Trainman-2 Posted November 4, 2012 Author #1614 Share Posted November 4, 2012 I already miss the Sourdough Rolls from the Windjammer. I could make great sandwiches with them. They always has "Assorted Cold Cuts" (School Kids would call it Mystery Meat) and nice fresh, ripe tomatoes. The only bad thing about using the Sourdough Rolls for sandwiches is that when I would bite into one end, the contents tended to squirt out the other end. Trainman-2 Posted November 4, 2012 Author #1615 Share Posted November 4, 2012 The MDR opened at 5:45 and the Windjammer opened at 6:30. We would usually hang out in the Casino Bar which had only four small tables before heading forward and up to the Windjammer because we could smoke there. As we were heading to the forward elevator towers we noticed the sunset.
Trainman-2 Posted November 4, 2012 Author #1616 Share Posted November 4, 2012 (edited) We saw the "Lighthouse" again Thursday afternoon. On the west bound leg we were outside of it. This time we were between the Lighthouse and Cuba. Edited November 4, 2012 by Trainman-

volunteer cruiser Posted November 5, 2012 #1625 Share Posted November 5, 2012 Trainman thank you for all the great posts about your Panamal Canal cruise. I have been wanting to ask you question and you have been so good about answering everyone's. I have just been trying to find the appropriate time. My husband and I are going to So. Carib. in Feb. on Brilliance. My husband's younger sister and financee were suppose to go with us. She got sick in January and after an 8 month fight she passed away in Sept. My husband and I have decided to continue on the cruise and dedicate it to her memory. We have a small part of her ashes and my husband is wanting to scatter them over the caribbean ocean. I read of your Freedom cruise dedicated to your late wife, Carol. My question is: is there paperwork I need to take and is there a department at Royal that I need to call to get this set up a time to scatter Jeanine's ashes?
