Adventurer/Southern of Oasis for second time?

Ok, so i'm planning to book a cruise during the WOW sale coming up and have it narrowed down to two cruises... The Advenure doing the Southern route or the Oasis doing the Western.

Here are my pros/cons so maybe someone can make me lean one way or the other. (My DH is all about "i'll love whatever you book" so is of NO help!)

Adventure

- 5 ports (ones that would be new to us)

- Sails out of San Juan (which is a port in itself however there's no Olive Garden and we always have to do Olive Garden the night before)

-Smallest ship my DH has been on (done Freedom and Oasis)

-Airfare will be more expensive (flying from Nova Scotia) however

-Balcony room is about $300 cheaper than Oasis

Oasis

-Loved the ship when we went in 2011.

-*I* looooved the beef sandwiches and salad bar soooo much I feel like i'd miss them (have craved them several times since 2011)

-We've done these ports before on the Freedom so nothing "new"

-We'd be getting a Boardwalk balcony as opposed to Oceanview on Adventure due to cost however there are the very aft balconies available which seem appealing.

-We'd get to go to Olive Garden and do some outlet shopping because it's out of Fort Lauderdale.

So my pros/cons don't really make my decision much clearer.

For anyone who has been on both ships (or equivelants) can you recommend one over the other? Thanks :)

The problem is that you can't go wrong with either choice.

If it were me, I'd choose Adventure because of the better itinerary and because the ship is new-to-you.

You've already been on Oasis, so the shows would be the same. This would be a negative for me because onboard entertainment is very important to me. Now, if the option were Allure, then that would at least change up some of the shows.

Adventure hands down for the ports. We've been on her three years in a row:D You won't notice the difference between Adventure and the Freedom class.

If you go, try to spend at least one night (if not two) in San Juan pre or post cruise. The restaurants in Old San Juan will make you forget all about the high-fat junk at Olive Garden.

I understand your love of the pre-night dining ritual. We always had to have dinner at California Pizza Kitchen the night before we went to Breckenridge to ski. We started because it was the restaurant closest to our hotel in Colorado Springs and it just went on from there.

Despite that, I too would vote for the Adventure. The Southern Caribbean routes are simply the best. As others have said, there really isn't a whole lot of difference between the Freedom class and the Voyager class ships. Do go for one of the aft balconies. I really enjoy sitting out on one (after a fun day in port) and watching the island fade into the distance as we sail away. Speaking of which, the late sailaway from San Juan is amazing. Love all the lights and the fort at the entrance to the harbor.

So glad I have another one booked. The good memories would have me checking out the WOW sale too.

I rechecked the itinerary for the Adventure and the only date we can sail doesn't include Aruba or Curacao which were the two I wanted to see most. So it looks like we're going to do the Allure and while onboard the Allure we'll book a Southern that includes Aruba and Curacao :) Plus looking at thet shows on the Allure have me that much more convinced to book her. Yay! I can't wait for tomorrow and am crossing my fingers the room I want is still available.
