vette73 Posted May 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2004 Advice needed regarding back to back cruises. My husband and I are sailing from Vancouver to Hawaii, arriving on Oct 4,2004 and staying on the ship to sail on that same date from Hawaii to Ensenda. Would appreciate any information on proceedures-do we have to change cabins? do we have to disembark and reboard? can be arrange with the pursuer or maitre d to keep the same table in the dining room? GracieAtTara Posted May 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2004 We have never taken back to back cruises, but will be this Fall on Windstar. They have guaranteed us the same cabin for both cruises so no hassles with packing, changing cabins and unpacking again. Also, they said we could stay on board if we wanted to in between cruises, but we just had to be aware that a lot would be taking place during the day getting the ship ready for the start of the next cruise. We'll likely spend most of the day exploring anyway. Dining is open seating so that is not an issue for us. I would suggest calling the cruise line and asking if you can have the same cabin for both cruises, as well as keeping your same table for dinner. You may have to be a bit flexible with your cabin location, since that same cabin may already be booked for the second cruise. Hope this helps! serene56 Posted May 10, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Try to get those arrangements taken care of now through your travel agent. Tell the agent you want the same cabin.same dining table. (youmay not get the same waiters as they do rotate. On the morning of disembarkation you will have to get off but it wont be like you are getting off for real. The pursers desk should take you off and get your registered thenmove you back on again. You will not have to take your luggage with you. (if by chance you have to move your cabin I think the cabin steward does that for you) but hopefully you can stay in the same cabin. kitty9 Posted May 10, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Have done back to backs and you do not have to get off the ship unless you want to, in order to visit the city you're in or take a tour. You can have the same cabin and the same table, just make those arrangements early through your travel agent. You will get a new key card/charge card, for the second cruise and you will have to tip at the end of each segment. Darcie
Andee Posted May 10, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2004 it is up to the cruise line as to whether or not you have the same cabin. We didn't, and moving was a hassle, even with the "help" of the steward.
