ParaSailing - is Key West a good place to do this?

We are going to Key West in December and planning on shopping and sight seeing - a couple that will be with us would like to go Parasailing. Just wondered if Key West was a good place to do this?

When I'm in Key West for a week in May and July there's never a day, when conditions are good, that I don't see several parasails in the air just off or behind Sunset Key. Look at Fury or Sebago, each of which leaves from a place you can walk to. IIRC Sebago gives you a few more minutes in the air, and decide if you want a video made of your flight.

we used Fury Watersports for our May family cruise stop in Key West. It was an awesome time. The crew and view were both fantastic. Very professional and safe. Highly recommend.

Did you just buy the parasailing package when you got off the ship or did you book it before?

On 12/4/12 our Carnival cruise ship docked in Key West and just walked over to the Fury shop at the dock and bought our tickets: $40 each. Cruise excursion was over $80 each!

Water was beautiful and we had them dip our toes! Would gladly do it again; we even bought $20 photo cd they took of all 4 of us: over 150 photos!

So you don't need to make reservations or anything? Just walk on over. That's pretty easy. Thanks.
