ccemom Posted November 5, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2012 I can't answer #1 because we did not visit the Dead Sea. It would be safe on your own, though. As for number 2, definitely Jerusalem.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 5, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2012 I've done the Jerusalem and Bethlehem tour on another cruise line. I though it was great. You don't have to be religious to enjoy it. Keith
LN50 Posted November 5, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2012 We did a tour of Jerusalem on Azamara, it really is a must see. religious or not. It was just so different and so much to see.
Jacs Posted November 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2012 Dead Sea is fine to do on your own, very safe. Of the other 2, religious or not Jerusalem is a must, It's such a facinating part of the world. Bethlehem was only worth seeing for the Church of the Nativity really. Bethlehem is in Palestine though, so if you are concerned about going near there , give it a miss.
martinsfo Posted November 9, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2012 Jerusalem is one of the most interesting and amazing places on earth. There is a mall in the new city that starts with all the typical mall stores you'd find anywhere on earth. As you walk through the back entrance, it opens up onto the Jaffa gate to the old city. Talk about incredible views, this one tops the cake.
KimmyUK Posted April 8, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 8, 2013 Hi Am asking if I should book with Azamara for their tour or do something independently. Thank you in advance. Jerusalem tours
DEL67 Posted April 8, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 8, 2013 If you can put together or join a small group, I would suggest using Guided Tours Israel. They offer a variety of tours and I always prefer a small group tour to a cruiseline bus one tour. We used them for a tour from Haifa in Dec and were pleased with their service.
