Tabyana or Little French Key with 4 and 6 yr olds?

We will be in Roatan in mid-December and currently have the Tabyana Beach excursion booked through the cruise line. Been reading lots of good things about Little French Key. Which place would be better with little kids? We're looking for a quite beach experience were the kids can safely play in the water. We might try snorkeling with the 6 year old. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

My opinion is you would be safer snorkeling with the child on the Tabyana side of the island. The French Key side is also the wind ward side, I would be concerned about being pushed by the wind. Course if your day is weather filled all bets are off. :)

We took our 4 and 6 year olds to Maya Key through the cruise ship- fantastic day, lots to do there (check out their website) lovely beach and pool, and very easy snorkeling on a beautiful reef... there's a pier where you can walk right out onto the reef and down a ladder and snorkel- our 4 and 6 year olds did it fine. The reef is beautiful. The excursion includes a great lunch too.
