epic..are there formal nights?

They used to call them "Dress Up or Not" nights, but now they call them "Norwegian's Night Out" it's the same thing, though. More people will likely be dressed up on these nights than on other nights, but you really can wear what you want any night, as long as it meets the requirements of the dress code in the dining room or restaurant that you choose, but there is no true formal night on NCL.

i usually enjoy formal nights, but i think it's going to be nice to pack a little lighter for this cruise!

That is the joy of sailing on NCL along with no enforced table "friends" and being able to eat when you want to not when you are told to.

I never wanted to cruise, not ever, but when I heard about NCL and Freestyle I said why not give it a try and have been hooked ever since. It doesn't suit everybody, some people like being told what and when to do things. I think you just might love it.
