Miami after cruise question

Our flight leaves Miami about 5:00 pm so we have some time to kill. We'll be 6 people. I was thinking the Duck tour would be a good way to get a bit of a tour of Miami before we leave. We've done the ducks before in other cities and enjoyed them. What would be the best way to do this - taxi from port to ducks and then taxi to airport? Rent a car for the day? Is parking an issue in Miami? Do they have taxi's for 6 people?

They do have van taxis that can accomodate 6 passengers, but not 6 plus luggage.

 

Your best bet is to look at the cruiseline post cruise tours - they will store your bags under the bus and then drop you at the airport about 1:30-2:00.

If your cruise ship and airline allows for sending your bags ahead in the morning, then just head to the Ducks Office in Miami Beach via suv cab.

 

If you can't get rid of your bags, then either rent a car...in my mind not worth it for such short time... or sign up for a post cruise excursion with the ship, as mentioned. Most of those will have you back at the airport by 1 or 1:30.

MIA is big enough that you can people watch,shop and roam during the preflight time.
