Norwegian or carnival

We were thinking carnival glory now looking at Norwegian dawn. Any pros and cons are much appreciated . It is me and my dw we r in our 50's. looking at 7 day

we have been on the Glory and are going on the Dawn this April....

 

our general opinion is....NCL has better entertainment and Carnival has better food....but that's just our opinion....

 

Carnival does have larger staterooms but NCL has better suite amenities....

 

we love both lines....actually we have yet to have a bad cruise....however, each line is different but NCL and Carnival are in the same ballpark....we find Princess and RCCL a step up and Celebrity a step above those.....

 

you can't go wrong with either line ....have fun!!

We just did a 7 day cruise on Carnival's Conquest. For us, there is no comparison to Norwegian's Freestyle Dining. We love the speciality restaurants and CCL just has one option - the steakhouse. DH was hungry for Asian on our cruise and the closest thing on the menu was an "oriental" option in the dining room one evening. He said it wasn't even close. And the food on CCL was never served at the proper temperature. Hot food should be hot not lukewarm.

 

CCL eliminated their Asian buffet but does have Guy's Burgers which were pretty good. The burritos/tacos on CCL left a lot to be desired!

 

Also CCL does not have a dining room open for lunch. They do have a brunch served from 9AM to 1:30PM on sea days.

 

We had an issue with our cabin on CCL and it took them 4 days (calling several times) to repair it. I know NCL would've escalated the matter after 2 phone calls. We received nothing from CCL for our inconvenience.

 

Norwegian will always be our first choice when booking a cruise.
