Parking near port of Miami

We are driving to Miami from NY and I'm wondering if anyone can suggest somewhere to park our car during the duration of the cruise. Is there parking at the actual port of Miami? If so what's the cost?

Security of your car is an issue in many parts of Miami :eek: - parking at POM costs $20/day but is convenient, covered and secure.

 

Check www.parksleepfly.com or https://secure.stay123.com for hotels offering cruise parking deals.

 

As downtown and Miami Beach hotels charge $25-30+/day for parking just about all of the hotels offering these deals will be out near the MIA airport. If a shuttle is not offered both ways (to POM, sometimes; from POM back to the hotel, almost never) plan on paying just under $30 (including tip) for a cab to POM and/or back to your car

 

You might be better off getting a $50 hotel a couple of hours north of Miami off of I-95 (even Orlando is only a 3.5 hour drive away!) and then driving to POM the day of your cruise and parking there.
