Your Favorite Holland America Moment

On our entry to Glacier Bay, September 2009, I was in the spa , standing at the full length windows, totally alone, and was completely in awe of the splendour of the sun gleaming upon the ice, it was a golden colour. I did not have my camera with me, but really will always have that magical moment imprinted in my memory.

Having our vows renewed on the Zuiderdamn (panama Cruise) by the Captain, dressed to the nines and all the officers offering to get us a drink and a quick kiss ;) afterwards...........and meeting some of the BFFs ever from Maine who we now cruise yearly with on HAL

Two moments that stand out:

 

1.) Dinner at the First Officer's table on the Volendam 11 years ago. The table service was incredible, and my wine glass was never less than half full.

 

2.) A Zuiderdam Panama Canal cruise last year when we booked an obstructed view outside cabin, and ended up with a Veranda.

1. Finding out the name of the sleek ship in Hamilton, Bermuda

 

2. Sailing the sleek ship that sailed To Hamilton, Bermuda!

 

3. Seeing fresh flowers all over the ship, including the public restrooms

 

4. Getting to go up front on the bow while an historian talked over intercom about the port I was sailing into.

 

5. Teak, teak, teak, everywhere!

 

6. The five star mariners who talked to me while I was dining solo at the Tamarind restaurant.
