Oosterdam: Vanishing Flower Vases

We sailed on the Oosterdam December 19th to the 2nd January.

At Dinner on Christmas Eve, we were surprised that the vases of fresh flowers had been removed from all the tables in the Vista Dining Room, when I asked, was told "getting ready for tomorrow".

The vases of flowers returned to the tables on the 29th.

Is it now routine for the flowers to be removed during a cruise?

This is our first cruise where flowers were not always on the tables.

They may have expected a delivery of fresh flowers in an upcoming port and the florist planned to refresh all the vases when the delivery was loaded aboard. Could be a 'bunch' of reasons.

There have been a couple of occassions when we did not have flowers on the tables in the dining room.

One -- the flowers were dead and no new ones had arrived at the ship.

When we have been on Code Red -- the vases of flowers were removed from the tables in the dining room as well as in the lounges.
