tazmancruiser Posted February 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Never cruised holland. The safe in the room om Eurodam. Do you use a credit card to open or enter your own combination to open and close? Thank for any information you may have. After twenty cruises on Royal Carribbean we are trying a different cruise line!!
sail7seas Posted February 21, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Every cabin on every HAL ship has a safe that operates on a four digit code of your choosing. Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam have the best safes in the fleet. They are big enough to hold a lap top. :)
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2013 HAL has updated all the safes on all ships with the 4 digit combination locks. I always just wipe the numbers once I am done locking the safe. The safe can hold a small laptop -- mine is too large to place in the safe -- 15 inches long and 9 1/2 inches wide. cmdchiefthom Posted February 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2013 S7S and KK, thanks for that info. I didn't know about the upgrades and was wondering if 2 Ipads, the odd Kindle and phones would all fit in the safes I've had before on HAL's ships, and I'll be boarding the NA in five weeks. ;)
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 21, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2013 You should not have any problems stacking the 2 iPADs and Kindle in the safe on the Nieuw Amsterdam along with a few others small items.
sail7seas Posted February 21, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2013 You could not fit all those things in most HAL safes but those on Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam are larger than the others. You likely can fit all that in a Signature Class Ship safe.
