Week in STT instead of cruise?

Would love to rent a car when we get there but I must confess I don't like the thought of driving on the opposite side

As far as I recall, driving in St. Thomas is on the same side of the road as in the US.

How is the Wyndham Sugar Bay? When checking for a precruise hotel, I noticed they had an air + hotel package that is priced around what my air is costing from California. Doesn't do me any good this time but it might be interesting for the future.

This website might clarify: http://www.*****/general_usvi/faq/#Driving

"We drive on the left. No temporary licenses are required for those holding a valid US license. Temporary licenses are available for those holding a non-US license for a small fee. Out of island licenses are valid for 90 days after arrival during which time you can apply for the USVI license. In order to rent a car you must be at least 25 years old in most cases."
