Help! 2 pm -11:59 pm in Nassau, what can I do?

Help! I will be arriving in Nassau at the end of this month on the Explorer of the Seas and I have been going crazy trying to find something to do during my time there. Blue Lagoon closes at 4 pm. All the Resort day passes seem to only go until 5 pm. I really don't want to pay for the day pass since it will be for such a short time. The ship does offer the Sea Lion swim at Blue Lagoon, but states that you will only have 30 minutes after the swim to shop. I am not sure how they are even offering that excursion since they close at 4 pm. No kids on this trip just two adult women that wanted to explorer Nassau a little and hit a beach if possible. Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

Thanks.

One idea - take the bus to the Fish Fry and enjoy a leisurely Bahamian snack and drinks, then walk back to the ship. You'll pass Junkanoo Beach along the way. You could also take a quick walk through the British Colonial Hilton property. You can't use their facilities without a day pass but it's neat to see the old hotel and the view of the cruise ships from the hotel. In the evening, grab a cab to Atlantis and check out the glass sculptures in the casino.

Or you could take a sunset cruise.

We haven't done a sunset cruise yet but had considered it last year. Here's a thread about it: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1663750&highlight=sunset+cruise

Royal Caribbean offers the excursion. I'm not sure about other cruise lines. Seahorse Sailing also has sunset cruises but only a couple days a week. It looks like a nice way to see some of Nassau from the water.
