Carnival Freedom-question for March 2014

Hello everyone. Does anyone have the link about the ships going into 2.0? I am going on Carnival Freedom for the 2nd time next March. I liked the freedom the way it was, BUT I hear they are re-doing it this December. Is this a legit thing? would hope so because the BREEZE was awesome. Defintely want the blue iguana, red frog, etc. Someone said they won't re do the casino which is a shame and WHITE club is awesome on the breeze. Please let me know. Thanks!

Yes I also heard the freedom is getting the 2.0 upgrades. If u look up sail dates for the freedom you notice that there are 2 weeks that nothing is scheduled and that is when it will be in dry dock.

Carnival Freedom is going into drydock at the end of 2013 (late November is what I have heard) to get all the 2.0 upgrades

Now here is the thing. When they say upgrades does that mean they just make the pool area like the breeze? With Blue Iguana, Red Frog, Resort Style pool? What about the clubs and casino? I loved the breeze so much I want all ships like it lol.

The only references I can find have the Freedom scheduled for 2.0 at an unspecified date in 2014.

 

I'm assuming they are all based off the original 2.0 schedule and it's probably changed.

I believe the freedom is going into dry dock for the 2.0 up grades in December of 2013 that is what I read somewhere

I sure hope that is the case. When they make a 2.0 do they make it anywhere close to the breeze though? That ship ROCKS!

I have no idea what changes will be made. It might be helpful to look up similar ships that have gotten 2.0 changes and see what new features they have. Sorry I cant be more helpful.

There are no cruises scheduled for November 30 through December 14, 2013 so I assume that is when the dry dock will be. I can't find anything yet that lists exactly will be added.

Now about the Carnival dry-dock schedule 2013/2014/2015 dates:

• [refurbished 2011] - Legend, Liberty, Magic, Valor.
  
• [refurbished 2012] - Dream (Sept8-22), Conquest (Oct14-28), Glory (Nov2-15) and Splendor (Dec).
  
• Carnival ships to be refurbished in [2013] Destiny (Feb22-Apr12), Fantasy (Jan26-Feb8), Fascination (Jan5-19, adding 98 balcony cabins), Imagination (September 16-30), Inspiration (November 4-18), in [2014] Legend (January 19 - February 2), Pride (February 1-16), Victory (February 17-March 3), Elation, Fantasy, Freedom, Triumph, Valor, in [2015] Magic, Miracle, Paradise, Spirit.

They are in drydock in april and may of 2014. in for 49 days. Have already cancelled sailings for drydock

That is strange. I heard April

I am on Freedom for a 5 day beginning Dec 9,13. There are a few weeks of this and similar schedules. So maybe folks are seeing nothing showing on the regular schedule and thinking drydock/2.0..............April would jibe with the previously published dates.

Looks like Apri2014, I would not book a cruise one week before drydock.

It is April 2014, my cruise for April 5 was cancelled:( and I had the option to rebook any cruise for the same price.:)

Dry dock will be the End of March 2014. The cruise on March 22nd will be the last before dry dock.

 

The first cruise out of dry dock will be on May 19, 2014 if every thing goes as scheduled. Eight weeks is a long dry dock.
